Then simply haul the food to a shelf or stockpile zone in the animals' room. You can make the rice into kibble first to feed more animals with it. Herd animals (cows, pigs, chickens, alpacas, etc) stay in pens. All other animals are allowed areas. Dogs, cats and boomrats are pets, hence they can live in the house and be trained.
