So today I summited an internal transfer application for TOM team for turlock MCE1. I just happened to look at the internal transfer page in my atoz. I got lucky. There isn't anything yet for L1 positions but I did come across an L2 and L3 for management. I guess they are pulling people in little by little. Yep, JFK8, not surprised my FC is on here. I don't know about anyone else, but here are the problems I see; College Managers who come in and pretty much read from a script, Finance who has no idea how to run a FC dictates how it's run, and HR now having a "hands off" approach, favoritism (seems to be a trend in any FC). There is more I'm sure.Realistically not sure we'd land a deal of the same level, but definitely worth fighting for and not capping our ambitions at what seems "reasonable" aka 18-21. I think amazon is generally comparatively not as bad as other entry level work (at least for me), but workers across the board should be treated better, and that doesn't exclude amazon.CalTrans (in California), or any DOT in any State will pay you probably 1.5x or 2x what Amazon does to dig trenches. Normally state workers are unionized and have excellent benefits. My experience at Amazon is much more severe though, it's a popularity contest bureaucracy to the point that it's almost undeniably detrimental to their business.
