I have the 3:73 with 33" tires and have no problems, sure I'd love to have 4:10 or 4:56 gears but I'd just start snapping axles and such. The bump stops are tight and the tire rubs/rests on the stock rear bumper so it is rock solid. I've done about 9K miles and some intermediate 5-6 level off road stuff and no issues.With that being said, you can install a 4″ lift kit on a Wrangler TJ to fit 33-inch tires. To ensure that your ride handles well, you should add 2″ bump stop extensions in the front and 2.25″ in the back.
