Professor Brumbaugh is very nice but she is tough on grading and was typically behind. All the exams were similar but require memorization rather than conceptual learning. She grades very slowly and took 2 months to grade our first essay. Class is mandatory so definitely attend but overall the class wasn't too bad.Have to turn in 9 pages of notes a week, assigned seating, mandatory attendance. Group projects Lecture heavy Test heavy. The rest is from 3 exams. He posts study guides for the exams and they help A LOT. Plus, he offered 13.3% percentage points of your final grade in extra credit. He does use zy-book as his textbook for python and is very interactive in class. 6 quizzes (1 dropped), Homeworks, Lecture Assignments, Group Project, and a Final Exam. He also gives a bonus opportunity at the end of the semester. Greg Purdy is the best teacher that INSY at Auburn has to offer.

Dr. O'Keefe is a nice guy and his lectures aren't the worst, but extremely ambiguous and impossibly hard to understand. He curves grades a lot but his assignments are insanely hard. The hw is mostly Inquizitive which takes forever to get 100% and is pretty redundant but for almost all hw you can get full credit and there's practice tests that are straight from the exam so you have ... Weekly there are 2-3 articles with an open-note reading quiz. Most of the answers can be found on various quizlets. Attendance wasn't required, but there were in-class assignments that couldn't be made up. Dr. Fried is flexible with assignments and clearly cares about students and wants to see them succeed.Asks questions of the day for attendance for the class to get to know each other. Is hilarious and keeps the class very engaged. Would 100% take him again.
